Professional Flyer

We have the world's best traveling child. Seriously. And maybe I shouldn't brag about him because we still have the flight back to DC in a couple weeks, but I just can't help it.

The flight from DC to Phoenix is around 5 hours (hello? That's enough to drive even an adult bonkers). Since we've made this flight a couple of times, we knew there was absolutely zero chance that the flight wouldn't be completely full and we might end up with an empty seat. This flight is always completely packed no matter what time of day you fly or what day of the week. So, we decided that since Boston is so very mobile at this point that we would just buy him a seat so the three of us could have our own row. And if that wasn't the best idea, ever, I don't know what is.

Looking so cute in his seat.

Boston fell asleep during takeoff (he hadn't had a nap yet, so he'd been awake for somewhere near 5 hours). He slept for over an hour and a half, and was just so happy when he woke up. He absolutely loved being on the plane. He would stand on my lap and look at the people behind us (thankfully there was a little girl behind us who played peek-a-boo with him, he loved it!). He literally did not cry once. He had so much fun just crawling between us, and looking at everyone and everything around him. One of the flight attendants asked Justin what we gave him to make him sleep - haha. And he was just such a great, happy baby. He didn't even protest when we were descending, and we all had a great flight.

On A side note, we took off just about 40 minutes before the earthquake rocked DC. It would have been interesting to have been there to experience it, but I'm kind of glad we missed it (not to mention we were in just about the safest place you could be during an earthquake). We will also be missing the first hurricane to actually make it up to our area. Again, it would have been interesting to experience it, but I think I'll stick with my record breaking heat, thanks :)
