Regardless, Boston is already 14 months! And he just gets more and more fun every single day!
(LOVE this smile!)
He kept crawling into this box, but then he was making faces at me when I was trying to take pictures.
In our new home we have this little banister that he loves to try and stick his head through. Thankfully, he most definitely does not fit...
...But it doesn't keep him from trying...
And one more crusty look, for good measure :)
At 14 months Boston:
*Is a walker! He tries to walk everywhere! He stills needs help standing himself up, but when he is up, he is going!
*Is quite sensitive. He doesn't like it when people laugh at him, or mimic what he is doing.
*LOVES video chatting with Daddy every day. He picks up my phone multiple times throughout the day to try and talk with dad.
*Can make an impressive elephant noise when asked what an elephant says.
*Knows what a snake says as well as a bunny.
*I'm pretty sure he also makes a frog noise, which is a throaty "bap" sound whenever I sing about the speckled frogs
*Says Dada, Mama (only very occasionally though), and Night, Night. He also tries to say a lot of other things, but mostly just ends up saying da or dadada.
*Signs "more" and "all done" (they look very similar right now, but he is getting better at differentiating them every day)
*Absolutely ADORES Mickey Mouse.
*Hates getting his pajamas on unless I sing The Hokey Pokey - but I have to sing it really, really fast. Then he starts shaking his whole body and smiles really big while finally letting me get him ready for bed.
*Is so, incredibly tall! I think he is almost 32 inches... That is almost 3 feet! That is completely insane!
*Still hates blankets - and this makes me very sad.
*Takes one hour and a half-two hour nap a day
*Knows when it is time to go somewhere. He runs or crawls over to the door and then sits down and sticks his feet out to get his socks and shoes on.
*Is kind of a picky eater, unfortunately. It depends on his mood. But he still loves his cereal & oatmeal, so I at least know that he will eat that if nothing else.
*Has 10 teeth. We are still waiting on the bottom, left molar and a bottom incisor. (And can I just say I will be SOOO thrilled when we are done with teething!)
He is such a smart boy. He understands so much of what we ask of him or say to him. His communications skills are improving as well. He tries very hard to tell us exactly what it is that he wants, and for the most part we are able to understand him.
One of my favorite things he does is when he is getting into something he isn't supposed to, he just stands there and waits for us to notice what he is doing. He won't touch anything until we notice what he is doing. Once we notice him, and move to get him away from whatever it is, he goes into this frantic, "grab everything" mode, where he tries to get all the stuff he isn't supposed to do, in 30 seconds time. It is hilarious, and just one more thing that makes me love him so much.
We love our little man. He keeps us on our toes and makes us laugh all the time. There are many times at night, when we are laying in bed and we just laugh and laugh about something he did during the day or one of his cute little quirks. He really is such a joy, even when he still isn't sleeping through the night consistently ;o)
We love you, Boston! On to the next month!!

1 musings:
Such a handsome little guy. I can't believe he has 10 teeth! Camden still only has two. Boston needs to teach him a thing or two about how to get some teeth.
