I swear, he was excited to be there...I'm not sure what the scowl is all about.
We loved going to Magic Kingdom. We both love Disneyland, and so being in Magic Kingdom felt a little bit like home, as it were. We were commenting how odd it was to be in a theme park and not know exactly where things are, because at Disneyland, we know where everything is and it always feels very familiar.
We loved how, at each Disney park, we had plenty of rides that we could take Boston on. Really, Disney makes their parks quite kid friendly, even for those with less than toddler-age children.
They have two lines for the Haunted Mansion. One that goes pretty much straight in, and one that is more interactive. There are all sorts of things you can touch and see while waiting in the interactive line, and we weren't in much of a hurry so we decided to take the "long" route. Boston loved it.
He was such a happy kid while we were out and about. He just loves people watching, and he was able to be out of his stroller and touching stuff, which made him happy as well.
We thought that he might be bothered by the darkness of Haunted Mansion since he had been being startled quite easily so far on this trip, but he was great. He just sat in our laps, looking around at everything.
Since Boston wasn't quite a full walker on this trip, he wasn't able to be out of his stoller nearly as much as he wanted to be. While we were at the Magic Kingdom, though, we decided to let him push his stroller around for a little bit. He ended up walking all the way from Space Mountain in Tomorrowland to the edge of Fantasyland. We had a few stops along the way in which he wanted to play with a leaf or something else he had seen in passing, but he really did just take a huge walk through the park, and loved every minute of it. He was so proud of himself.
They were also running the Electric Light Parade while we were visiting, which made me almost giddy with excitement. I LOVE the Electric Light Parade. It just makes me so happy, and I was so excited to share it with Boston. I was sure he was going to love it - and he did. He was just so excited to see all the floats and kept pointing at each one while making an "ooh" sound. It was pure joy. I am so glad that I got to share it with him, even though he won't remember it.

Next up, Animal Kingdom!
